Dr Ruda completed his bachelors of science at Loyola University of Chicago and medical degree at Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Mexico He completed his residency in Nova Scotia in Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology with a fellowship Retina at Louisiana State University in 1968. He has been in practice for more than 45 years in California and Texas. Dr Ruda proudly served in the United States Army in Desert Storm in Afghanistan and achieved the rank of Colonel. He specializes in Glaucoma, cataract consultation and surgery, diseases of the retina and vitreous. He has two children and several grandchildren, is a longtime member of the Masons, and is an active member of his church. In his free time Dr Ruda enjoys home renovations and study of the Bible.
